KLEIBEUKER GLOBAL SOLUTIONS

Better grants. Stronger systems. Greater impact.

Transforming finance, grants and support systems for international NGOs.

Strategic advisory for international NGOs navigating complex funding, organisational growth and digital change. I connect strategy, processes, governance, technology and people, so that change lasts.

From organisational challenge to lasting change

Six connected areas of expertise, with finance and grants as the entry point.

Strategy and transformation

Diagnosing organisational challenges, designing future processes and operating models, and building a realistic transformation roadmap.

Finance and grant systems

Financial management, grants and donor compliance across the full grant lifecycle, translated into clear system requirements and practical ERP set-up.

Governance and risk

Internal controls, roles and responsibilities, decision-making, risk management and audit readiness, designed to work across country offices.

Digital change and AI

Guiding implementation, change management and user adoption, and applying AI responsibly to speed up processes and support better decisions.

Country teams and local partners

Guiding decentralised country teams with real autonomy: capacity building, change in local context, and the financial sustainability of teams and the grassroots organisations they support.

Long-term transformation partner

Not a report and goodbye. I can join your organisation as transformation lead for two to three years, shaping change with your team until it runs on its own.

How I work

1. Diagnose

Start from findings: what do processes, budgets, audits, systems and the people who use them actually tell us?

2. Design

Redesign processes, governance and responsibilities, and translate them into clear functional requirements.

3. Implement

Guide system choices, configuration and roll-out, bridging finance, programmes, IT and users.

4. Embed

Make it stick through training, coaching and clear ownership, until the team can carry it forward independently.

The bridge between organisation and systems

System transformations in NGOs rarely fail on technology. They fail when finance, programmes, M&E, partnerships, IT and country teams are not connected. My role is to build that bridge: translating donor and compliance requirements into processes and systems that people actually use.

I believe compliance is a shared capacity, not just a finance task. It works best when programme, M&E, partnerships and fundraising carry it too, supported by clear processes and the right tools.

About Jethro Kleibeuker

Jethro Kleibeuker

I am a finance and governance specialist with over 15 years of experience in international development, including more than five years leading global grants and compliance functions. I have worked with country offices across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe, and with institutional donors including MoFA, the EU, FCDO, SIDA, BMZ and a range of foundations.

Alongside grants and compliance, I have helped organisations redesign grant processes, develop policies and tools, and roll out grants and accounting systems across multiple country offices. A large part of my work is guiding decentralised country teams that operate with real autonomy and support grassroots organisations: building capacity, leading change in local context and strengthening their financial sustainability. I also serve on the steering committee of a long-term, multi-partner community development programme in Northern Malawi.

Education: Drs. (MA) Human Geography and Planning, Utrecht University. Dutch accounting qualifications. Specialist training in fraud prevention, control of funds abroad and EU and DG ECHO grant management.
